Early Readers
We've listed the k.12 information (at http://www.k12.com/what-is-k12/approach-to-learning/part-2-tried-and-true/ ) because of their superb phonics program. My daughter was an early reader and she needed some appropriate books and structured guidance . . . K12.com provided both. I loved the selection of children's literature which included many Caldecott medal winners.

technology4kids
The First Edition of this site (found at URL http://www4.ncsu.edu/~stmullin/Home.html copyrighted by Shirley Mullinax Lombardi 2006-2011) was originally provided as a public service to teachers who are integrating technology (communication, construction, manufacturing, power & energy, transportation, and medical) into core curriculum. It now additionally serves to link parents to technology resources for enhancing their own education as well as their child's education. We hope that you will use this information to activate prior knowledge as well as create schema for yourself and interested children. We have provided links to research articles that indicate significant gains in achievement obtained when using educational technology. We have also provided articles on the advantages of integrating Technology Education into core curriculum. We hope that you find the site useful, intriguing, and engaging.
